We are actively hiring a Senior Performance Manager, Paid Media, to join our Patient Recruitment division.

The Senior Performance Manager, Paid Media is responsible for leading strategy, execution, experimentation, and measurement across paid media channels to drive patient recruitment across a multi-site clinical research network. This role owns qualified patient acquisition and connects paid media performance to downstream enrollment outcomes. The Senior Performance Manager partners closely with Patient Recruitment, Marketing Tech, and Analytics teams to optimize the full funnel, from initial lead through qualified and enrolled patients, using a highly data-driven, hands-on approach to consistently achieve performance and growth targets.

Compensation:  Competitive base compensation + bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own paid media strategy, execution, and optimization across active clinical trial protocols and site locations
  • Manage campaign structure, taxonomy, bidding strategies, and budget pacing across platforms, including Google Ads, Meta, Reddit, and TikTok
  • Drive qualified patient acquisition by optimizing toward downstream conversion events, including pre-screen submissions, qualified patients, and enrolled participants
  • Design and execute structured experiments (geo splits, incrementality testing, audience targeting, match type testing) with clear hypotheses and decision frameworks
  • Leverage platform AI, automation tools, and LLM-driven workflows to improve campaign performance, including keyword expansion, ad copy generation, and budget reallocation
  • Partner with Marketing Tech and Analytics teams to implement enhanced conversion tracking, offline conversion imports, and accurate attribution across the patient funnel
  • Monitor and optimize performance metrics, including cost per lead, cost per qualified patient, and cost per enrolled patient across studies and regions
  • Manage geographic targeting at the DMA, city, and ZIP level aligned with site catchment areas and enrollment priorities
  • Collaborate with Patient Recruitment teams to align media strategy with site capacity, enrollment goals, and protocol timelines
  • Develop and maintain a unified condition-based search strategy to minimize overlap between paid and organic efforts
  • Partner with content, SEO, and brand teams to translate search insights into patient-facing content across channels
  • Maintain clean data pipelines and ensure accurate reporting within BI dashboards and CRM/CTMS systems
  • Ensure all campaigns adhere to HIPAA, healthcare advertising policies, and brand safety standards
  • Establish and maintain SOPs, naming conventions, QA processes, and operational frameworks to support scalable growth
  • Identify performance gaps and implement continuous optimization strategies to improve efficiency and outcomes
  • Participate in vendor management and collaborate with platform partners to leverage new features and resolve issues
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7+ years of experience managing and scaling paid media campaigns across multiple platforms and markets
  • Proven success driving performance outcomes tied to downstream conversions beyond initial leads (e.g., qualified patients, appointments, enrollments)
  • Experience operating in high-growth, performance-driven environments with measurable KPIs
  • Bachelor’s degree required; marketing, communications, or related field preferred
  • Digital marketing, paid media, or performance marketing training preferred
  • Deep expertise in paid search and paid social, including modern strategies such as broad match, smart bidding, and audience targeting
  • Strong experience with experimentation frameworks, including incrementality testing and performance analysis
  • Hands-on experience with AI-driven marketing tools, automation, and LLM-assisted workflows
  • Strong understanding of full-funnel performance marketing and attribution across complex customer journeys
  • Ability to translate campaign data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • High level of operational discipline, including campaign structure, naming conventions, and QA processes
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with marketing, analytics, and operations teams
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA-compliant advertising and healthcare marketing regulations required
  • Experience in healthcare, clinical research, or regulated industries preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing analytics tools preferred
